New GDA Video

Guide Dogs of America (GDA) was founded over 60 years ago when a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) was denied acceptance by existing guide dog schools due to his advanced age – he was only 57.

Since then, GDA has graduated over 3,000 teams thanks to the camaraderie, compassion, and generosity of the IAM and its members.

GDA is now honored to partner with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) who produced this video on our behalf.

In addition to hearing from GDA staff, you will hear first-hand the difference a guide dog makes in the lives of those who are blind or visually impaired.
