GDA Announces New Director of Programs

After an extensive search and numerous interviews, Dale Hartford, president of Guide Dogs of America (GDA), has appointed Yvonne Martin as the new Director of Programs with all of the duties and responsibilities of those formerly held by retired Director of Programs Chuck Jordan. This includes overseeing each facet of the school’s programs.

Yvonne MartinMartin brings nearly 15 years of experience to this position at GDA and is familiar with every department, the people and the organization’s processes. She has been a puppy raiser, currently a licensed guide dog trainer, and the Director of Canine Development.

“I have every confidence in Yvonne’s ability to handle any situation that may arise, and trust her judgment to make the best decisions regarding the welfare of the school, the staff, the dogs we are responsible for, and those who use our services,” stated Hartford.

Martin began her new responsibilities on September 1, 2014.
