Donor Spotlight – S. Mark Taper Foundation

Guide Dogs of America is honored to announce that the S. Mark Taper Foundation has awarded a $40,000 grant in support of our program that provides professionally trained guide dogs and instruction in their use free of charge to blind and visually impaired men and women. The generous grant will support Guide Dogs of America in our goal to graduate at least 50 guide dog teams – as our guide dog recipients and their new guide dogs are known – in 2015.

S. Mark TaperFounded in 1989, the S. Mark Taper Foundation is a private family foundation dedicated to enhancing the quality of people’s lives by supporting nonprofit organizations and their community work. To find out more about the S. Mark Taper Foundation visit
