GDA Announces Newest Licensed Instructor 

GDA trainer Jamie ViezbickeGuide Dogs of America is pleased to announce that training department staff member Jamie Viezbicke has successfully passed all of the requirements of the California State Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind and is now a licensed guide dog instructor.

California is the only state to have a license requirement for guide dog instructors and schools. Guide Dogs of America instructors complete a three-year apprenticeship under a licensed instructor before they are eligible to take the license exam. Guide Dogs of America’s staff now includes eight licensed instructors and one apprentice instructor. Congratulations, Jamie!
