Partner’s Dinner 2008

3rd Annual “Partner’s” Awards Dinner 2008

Another highly successful and fun Annual “Partner’s” Awards

Held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, it was a great venue with dining in the Grand Salon featuring vintage travel trailers as the backdrop surrounding the dinner guests. GDA’s 60th anniversary was also part of the celebration.

This year’s honorees presented with the 2008 “Partner’s” Award were Ron & Joan Shaw (from Hamilton, MT), the Silverman Family (Larry, Pam & Debbie from Simi Valley, CA) and Cherry Teter (from Reseda, CA.).

The evening began with a very successful silent auction (thanks to Judy Reilly and her “team”) and cocktail reception on the roof of the museum, followed by dinner (in the Grand Salon) and a live auction (with thanks to Glyn Judson, our Westside Puppy Raiser Area Leader as our lively “auctioneer”).

Beautiful table arrangements were created and donated by Tammy New (and her husband, Mark) as well as the commemorative 60th anniversary wine glasses given to each guest. The evening ended with a fabulous dessert buffet and dancing to the sounds of DJ Mike of Dance Fantasy.

Total proceeds from the evening exceeded $60,000.00 …all going to the GDA’s programs.

Dinner Chair, Debbie Sands and Jay Bormann, GDA President, gave a huge thank you to our event sponsors – Suzanne & Michael Tennenbaum (Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC), Mr. Paul Morton (Morton Management Company), Mr. Casey Scott (Scott Wealth Management Group of Wachovia Securities), Mrs. Macki Singer, Mr. & Mrs. John Connors (Sepulveda Building Materials), Mr. & Mrs. Steve Gettleman, Animal Specialty Group, Inc., Mrs. Eleanor Hughes and Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Kidushim.

We thank all our guests and those who contributed in making this year’s dinner such a great event!
