“I would recommend GDA to anyone who is interested in getting a guide dog. The training covers every aspect of guide work that you need to know.”
Those are the words of Dan, who is from Winter Park, FL, and is blind due to Rubella exposure before birth. He is a linguist who speaks 17 languages, of which ten he speaks fluently.
He was matched with his fourth guide dog, a male yellow Labrador Retriever named “Parker”.
Dan also adds, “The trainers put a great deal of effort into making sure the dogs and he people are perfect for one another.”
