Q: What is the cost of providing a guide dog?
A: Approximately $38,000 or more, which includes the cost of training the dog and providing instruction for the guide dog user.
Q: Can I designate where I want my gift to go?
A: Yes! Although general donations allow Guide Dogs of America to put the funds where they are most needed, we allow donors to choose where their funds go upon request. If you wish to make a designated gift, simply let us know at the time of making the donation to what area of the program you would like your gift to go. Contact Guide Dogs of America to find out more about designating your gift, options and areas for gift designation, and other related details. Another great way of designating where a gift will go is by giving through our Sponsorship Program.

A: Only 2% of all funds go to Fundraising and only 10.6% go towards Administrative Costs, leaving 87.4% of all funds going directly into Program Services.
Q: Can I get a copy of your Financial Statement?
A: Yes! Simply contact us and request a copy of the Financial Statement. E-mail your request to . Be sure to include your name, the address where you want the Financial Statement sent, and a return phone number or valid e-mail address (in case we have a question). We do not have a Financial Statement available
on disk or through e-mail. It must be sent through regular mail.
Q: Are my donations/gifts tax deductible?
A: All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law. Check with your accountant or local tax advisory board for help.
