VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering is a great way to contribute to Guide Dogs of America.

There are many types of volunteering, including Puppy Raising. If you are interested in volunteering for Guide Dogs of America, be sure that you are located close to the G.D.A. facilities here in Sylmar, CA for your own convenience.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. If you wish to volunteer for Guide Dogs of America, fill in and submit the application below on-line or print it to send in by mail. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you with volunteer opportunities.

There are several types of volunteering available at Guide Dogs of America:

-Clerical/General
-Speaker
-Tour Guide

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years or older with basic office knowledge. Clerical must be available weekdays. Tour guides must be able to speak clearly and loudly in front of groups of up to 50 people. Tour guides need to be available weekdays. Speakers must have a Puppy-in-Training or a G.D.A. approved Career Change dog.
