DESCRIPTION:Help GDA|TLC Make Dreams Come True\nPuppy raisers are the cornerstone of our training program at Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines.  Our dedicated volunteers foster future guide dog prospects\, teaching basic obedience\, house manners\, and how to be calm and confident in a variety of public settings. Come learn how you can make a difference in the life of someone who is blind or visually impaired\, a veteran with PTSD\, or a child with autism by becoming a volunteer puppy raiser. \nThis Orientation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday\, July 26\, 2024\, at our Visitor Education Center\, located at 13479 Glenoaks Blvd.\, in Sylmar. Be sure to navigate to this address and not our administration building\, which is 13445 Glenoaks. If you enter “Guide Dogs of America” into a nav system\, you’ll land at the administration building\, not the Visitor Education Center. \nThe Puppy Raiser Orientation lasts about an hour and a half. \nIf you have any questions\, please email krjuhl@guidedogsofamerica.org or call (818) 833-6466. \nRSVP Puppy Raiser Orientation\nComplete an application here
