Training Department Volunteer
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Time Slot Availability: 7:55am to 10am
Positions available: 2 per day
About: Training volunteers assist the Training Department with reward-based training. Tasks include quieting dogs before they are let out to play outside and before meals. Participate in community run time with dogs aged 18months – 24 months. Community run clean up required to create a clean environment.
Puppy Department – Head Start Volunteer
Shifts: Mondays & Wednesdays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time Slot Availability: 4pm – 8pm
Positions available: 4
About: Assist canine development staff with daily socializations and enrichment for puppies aged 7-8 weeks (about 2 months) in preparation for Puppy Raiser home transitions. Requires careful adherence to sterilization and disease prevention protocols, including the need to change in and out of scrubs with each shift. Duties include following puppy socialization and behavior training set up by the development team. Assist with training and introduction of crates and leash training. Interact with puppies to meet socialization goals. Housekeeping tasks, including scooping feces, laundry, washing, and cleaning community run, equipment, etc.
Breeding Department (Puppy Nursery) – Puppy Housekeeping
Shift 1: Monday to Wednesday, and Friday
Time Slot Availability: 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Shift 2: Tuesday
Time Slot Availability: 4-8 pm

About: Assist Breeding center with basic housekeeping needs, including washing and folding laundry, cleaning and sterilizing feeding bowls, toys, etc., and keeping the runs clean by removing feces, dirty linens, toys, and sanitizing the space. Physical effort required, frequently standing, walking, stooping, and crouching. Minor lifting and moving of items 40lbs. Handling cleaning materials, such as mops, brooms, hoses, soap, and disinfectant. Will be required to change into scrubs and non-slip shoes.
