We are continuing to push our mission forward

There Are People Counting On Us

Dear Friends of Guide Dogs of America,

I wish you and your loved ones good health. I am tremendously proud of our community for coming together and ensuring our mission moves forward. There are countless veterans, people who are blind, and families affected by autism, depending on us to be there for them.

Even though these past few weeks have been trying, I want to share some bright spots that we have experienced:

  • We have dozens of future service dogs in the nursery. You can watch our litter of German Shepherds on Explore.org!
  • Our puppy development classes are now available online for our puppy raisers!
  • Our community of students and puppy raisers have been connecting together through various “Fire-side” chats on Zoom.

We are continuing to push our mission forward in the safest ways possible. One challenge we are currently facing is the cancellation of our annual fundraisers. Your gift will ensure the strength of our organization is not compromised because of the Coronavirus. Together, we can continue to transform people’s lives. As always, we are deeply grateful for your support.

With Gratitude,

Russell A. Gittlen
President/Director

P.S. Thank you to all of our front-line heroes who are putting their lives on the line to serve others. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out.
