How You Can Help

Making a Difference

You can make a difference in the lives of blind men and women by supporting Guide Dogs of America.

Your contribution of time and/or money helps us provide guide dogs free of charge to blind individuals. With the gift of a guide dog, these men and women are better able to pursue their goals, fulfill their dreams, and participate in their communities. Guide dogs not only provide the gift of increased independence, confidence, and mobility, but they also act as a trusted companion providing new opportunities for social interaction. Help make a difference in the life of a blind individual in the form of a loving, four pawed partner today.

Why Give? Guide Dogs of America is a nonprofit organization that is supported by the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations in our mission to provide loyal and loving guide dogs free of charge to blind and visually impaired individuals.

With 87% of all our funds raised during the fiscal year available for Program Services, you know your money is well spent (figure based on the 2015-2016 fiscal year). We do not receive any funding from local, state or federal government.

The cost to provide one guide dog and match it with its new blind partner is $48,000. Your gifts help us fulfill our mission and reflect your own personal desire to help others live more independently with the loving partnership of a guide dog.

What Your Gift helps Provide: Every gift, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and helps us continue our important services to the blind community.
